Senior/Chartered Civil Engineer – Tauranga

The client, a forward-thinking engineering firm, is seeking a Chartered Senior Civil Engineer to independently oversee clients and projects from inception through design and completion, supported by both local and national resources. Serving as the technical lead for Bay of Plenty, the appointee will assist the local team and contribute significantly on a national scale, benefiting from autonomy and ample support to develop their career. The ideal candidate will work effectively alone, facilitate collaboration among civil teams across all offices, and promote growth within the Bay of Plenty region. Responsibilities include civil design, leadership, and conducting project reviews across diverse assignments:

• Small to large residential, commercial and industrial development.
• Roading and pavement design
• Three waters engineering
• Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)
• Construction management and verification.
• Retaining wall and MSE wall design
• Coastal and marine structures.

The technical competencies for this position are:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• CPEng (those in the CPEng application process may be considered)
• 7+ years of experience including time spent in a consultancy environment
• Proficient in Microsoft products
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D modelling (preferred)
• Experience in leading and building a team.
