Our Client is delivering one of regional NSW’s largest post‑disaster reconstruction programs, and we’re seeking an experienced Deputy Director – Flood Restoration Portfolio (FRP) to lead delivery across a complex suite of major infrastructure projects.

All applicants must have relevant Australian or NZ experience and have the right to work in Australia.

This is initially a 6-month fixed term contract seconded to one of our clients organizations based in Lismore Northern New South Wales, Australia, but may lead to a long-term role with a growing specialist engineering and project management consultancy based in Southeast Queensland managing projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The Role

Lead client‑side delivery of major flood restoration projects
Oversee planning, procurement, construction and close‑out
Drive performance, safety, compliance and reporting
Manage contractors, risks, variations and claims
Support the Director in achieving portfolio‑wide outcomes

About You

Extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects (client‑side)
Strong leadership in program or portfolio environments
Advanced commercial, procurement and contract management capability
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, especially in sensitive environments
Deep understanding of governance, compliance and funding frameworks
Strong project management, risk and problem‑solving capability

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar
Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) desirable
NSW Class C Driver Licence
National Criminal History Check
