Intermediate/Senior Civil Engineer – Kerikeri

The client is an innovative engineering consulting firm looking for a Civil Engineer to grow its client base and oversee projects from engagement through to recommendations, specialist designs, and budget management. This position acts as the primary contact for technical and client matters in the Far North region, supported by the Northland team, and provides connections to the national civil team.

The selected candidate will work independently while assisting civil teams throughout various offices and contributing to the firm’s expansion in the North. The firm values flexibility in supporting geotechnical tasks as well. The Kerikeri CBD office, staffed by two specialists, maintains a relaxed environment and has space available for an additional team member. With a steady flow of work and upcoming new projects, the successful applicant can make meaningful contributions right away.

Work will involve civil design works, including but not limited to:

• Small to large subdivisions
• Roading and pavement design
• Stormwater and wastewater management
• Infrastructure inspections
• Site monitoring
• Simple structure design
• Retaining wall and MSE wall design
• Foundation design
• Coastal revetments

The technical competencies essential to these positions are:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• 4+ years of experience in New Zealand, including time spent in a consultancy
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D modelling (potentially BIM)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• At least a restricted driver’s license.
