Site‑Based Compliance & Delivery Support| Regional NSW

We’re seeking motivated Project Officers and Surveillance Officers to support the delivery of a major infrastructure and flood‑recovery program. These roles are ideal for people who enjoy being out on site, working closely with contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the required quality standards.

The Opportunity

As a Project Officer / Surveillance Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting Project Managers across multiple concurrent projects. You’ll be the eyes and ears on the ground—monitoring contractor progress, identifying risks early, capturing audit‑ready evidence, and ensuring all works meet client, WHS, environmental, and DRFA requirements.

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, and confident working across construction sites and stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular site inspections across active construction sites
Monitor contractor progress, quality, compliance, and delivery status
Identify risks, delays, WHS issues, environmental concerns, or non‑compliance and escalate promptly
Capture accurate site records, photographs, and audit evidence in line with DRFA requirements
Maintain project documentation and support DRFA claim preparation
Assist Project Managers with coordination, reporting, and issue resolution
Support delivery of multiple projects simultaneously across the program
Provide early visibility of delivery risks, procurement issues, or scope concerns

What You Bring

Experience in construction, civil works, infrastructure, or site surveillance
Strong attention to detail and confidence identifying risks or non‑compliance
Good communication skills and the ability to escalate issues appropriately
Strong organisational and time‑management capability
Understanding of WHS, environmental, or quality requirements (desirable)
Ability to work across multiple sites and support several projects at once

Authority & Working Style

These roles operate under the direction of the Senior Program Manager and Project Managers. Project Officers / Surveillance Officers do not approve scope changes, variations, or contractor claims—all risks or issues must be escalated for decision‑making.
