Join Our Team: Project Manager (Flood Restoration Program)
This opportunity invites experienced project managers to lead and influence flood restoration initiatives at the program level. As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping outcomes for our communities, ensuring the delivery of complex projects and driving innovation in the field.

This is initially a 12-month fixed term contract (with likely extension) seconded to one of our clients organizations based in Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, but may lead to a long-term role with a growing specialist engineering and project management consultancy based in Southeast Queensland managing projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Client‑Side Delivery | Governance‑Focused | Regional NSW
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and recovery projects on behalf of our government client. This is a client‑side role focused on planning, coordination, governance, and delivery oversight — ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments and enjoys working across multiple stakeholders.
The Opportunity
As Project Manager, you will lead the day‑to‑day delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with client requirements. You will prepare project plans, manage documentation, coordinate with internal departments, and provide clear reporting and risk escalation to senior leadership.
This role suits someone who is proactive, organised, and confident navigating government processes, procurement pathways, and audit‑ready documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver assigned projects to scope, schedule, and quality expectations
Develop comprehensive project plans and maintain accurate project documentation
Coordinate with client teams including safety, procurement, and asset owners
Provide monthly reporting and participate in weekly governance meetings
Identify and escalate risks, issues, and scope changes to the Senior Program Manager
Prepare DRFA/EPAR claim information and supporting audit evidence
Develop procurement documentation including scopes, estimates, and technical requirements
Identify opportunities to package works for efficient procurement and delivery
Manage GC21 and contractor performance throughout the project lifecycle
Support capability uplift and knowledge transfer within the client organisation
What You Bring
Experience delivering infrastructure, civil, utilities, or recovery projects
Strong understanding of government processes, governance, and audit requirements
Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills
Ability to identify risks early and recommend practical solutions
Experience preparing procurement documentation and managing contractors
A collaborative, client‑focused approach to project delivery
Authority & Working Style
This is a client‑side advisory role. You will recommend actions and solutions, but all scope changes, procurement outcomes, funding submissions, and major delivery decisions remain with the client. Project Managers must confirm approvals before directing any works.
